Following a major renovation and over a decade of closure, our beloved canalside pub reopened in 2019 under the careful stewardship of landlord, chef, and co-owner Jack Marks-Gardener. What once stood dormant has been lovingly transformed into a warm, welcoming space for locals and visitors alike.
We proudly serve a full breakfast menu and a vibrant day menu featuring butcher’s bar snacks, small plates, and hearty mains — all driven by seasonal produce and bold, honest flavours. Our Sunday Roasts have earned national recognition, placing us in the Top 50 Best Sunday Roasts 2024 by The Good Food Guide.
At the bar, you’ll find four rotating hand pulls, premium lagers, and a curated selection of bottles and cans. Our wine and spirits list — extensive yet considered — is curated in partnership with award-winning merchants and co-owners Nickolls & Perks.
